How do you “deal” with this?
I’m not sure what to tell you. Some things, like this; you cannot unsee.
I want to say you reacted in a manner I consider alarming. Meaning that “taking evidence as proof of said thing” to be used or could be used against them. I think any individual who is proposed with this scenario is going to want it to stop by whatever means necessary that takes.
Regardless of the REASON WHY that scenario happened I think everyone would want it to stop because clearly there is A LOT of emotions running amok.
That he seemingly told a series of lies to cover up what you found is alarming but not really surprising. He then reassures you that he’s “not that person anymore” and not friends with those people who helped him create the game. Two years is long and ALSO very short time overall. I’m not convinced this was written then and with the collaboration of other people.
I have only one question for you. How does this experience make you feel about him? That’s truly what matters for you two. And if you’re not sure, think about his friends and the group of people he hangs out with. Consider that we are similar to whom with which we surround ourselves with.
Now you have seen how he treats you when he thinks he has all of the control. You were in a strange country, with nobody you knew there, you didn’t know how to get around the area or how to get back to your airbnb, and you didn’t even have a working phone. Bet he really enjoyed walking off and making you afraid that he was going to leave you alone there.
You are the problem. People like you are what's wrong in the world. Animals are not disposable objects.
