Tell me about it! I gave my first love another shot after me and my ex split up. She was my first….and last (so far) relationship because of this. It was a disaster. She was jealous of my son who I was, at the time, going through a miserable custody battle over. She tried to sabotage me, making vital evidence “disappear”, because she wanted all of my time to herself and didn't want to share me with my little boy. Yeah…dropped her like a hard potato, but let me tell you, that was for sure some closure, no feelings of regret about it not working out after that! Just feelings of relief! The weird thing is, she always desperately wanted to be a mom herself, but never got to have kids…which was likely a blessing for those kids given that level of dysfunction.
To retouch on this matter. I did get served by a sheriff at my house with the court proceedings. I did hire an attorney for this matter. He is looking for a finical split of all my assets from 2015 and up. The problem is without having an actual domestic partnership registered with Nevada, I have no real way of ever going about exiting said domestic partnership. We have verified with the state that there is no standing domestic order in our state of residence when we were together. So now a court date is set to drop the case with my attorney using the above arguments, also stating that this is a manipulation of the court system and evidence and a waste of the courts time. Curious to see how it all pans out. Will update.
Fair enough, just be aware sometimes that mentality made in jest can incline us to 'go with the flow and assume it will work out' a little. I just want you to see it was your own instinct and decision to take action as well as his own issues that informed all of that, not luck and chance and etc.
And yes, absolutely. Joke is he will likely at some point try to throw even that in your face though that will yet again reinforce why it was a good idea haha.
