For example… I make a huge pot of chili…it can last 4-5 days and you can make different meals with it… like chili cheese hard dogs, chili over rice…in a wrap. I also make a big pot of soup…last for 7 day for 2 people. I make a big pot of sauce and meatballs and buy different pasta for the week…lasts a week. I make a big salad and put in containers for the week. I don't add dressing until I eat it so it doesn't wilt. I either add grilled chicken for lunch or as a side salad with dinner. So many delicious ways to eat on a budget. If he is buying packaged meals then the money will go quickly. If you cook your meals then it will last all week.
