1. No, that last sentence is not okay to say about yourself. This idea that a man is a pathetic asshole because he has hurt feelings over something needs to be outdated. You’re a human being. That was such a blind sided thing to get hit by at the time and it’s still affecting you to this day so it’s had a massive impact on you in some way. And maybe a lot of resentment comes from that fact that a lot of the reasons why you changed are for her and not for yourself, and that really sucks and I am so sorry you felt the need to get to that point.
