I have a strong stance against infidelity and against lies, and yet I'm still pretty taken aback by a lot of the comments here.
She's not the person she was six years ago. You both clearly love the person you've each become, and that's the person you'd be marrying (if you marry).
In the early stages of a relationship, it's not unusual for people to still be working through their past, and figuring out who they are, who they will be, what you mean to them, and what they mean to you. You weren't married/engaged back then, so there's a million possibilities she could have had in her mind, for what level of exclusivity you had in those early days.
It sounds like she cut it off when it was clearly needing to be cut off, and it sounds like she never actually lied about it. It sounds like she has been faithful, committed, and even willing to be totally honest with you before entering a lifelong commitment. From my experiences, she sounds like an absolute gem!
If someone cheats on me, I imagine I'd pack up my stuff and leave without a word. But if I discover someone cheated way back before we had any longevity, and then had years upon years of faithful mutual devotion, then that's a completely different thing.
Blaming your SO for your cheating is a huge red flag!
Save yourself a lot of grief and move on. Time to get a new GF.
What do you mean?
