I don’t think you want advice I just think you want someone to coddle you and make it seem like this is normal behavior that a partner can fix. A relationship that isn’t based on trust. Isn’t a relationship. Especially if you’ve done nothing to break it.
Again 33 is a grown ass man…. I’ve dated a man like this, you can not and will not convince him what the “truth” is. It’s like dealing with a police officer who’s trying to get a plea out of you so they can go home. You’ll eventually be emotionally drained, tired of arguing and admit fucking up , “i should have called” “im sorry i stayed late”. They’ll be upset and has it to punish you.. until your walking on eggshells cuz you don’t want to make them upset…. You’re doing all this and trying to fix you.. why would they listen to someone they don’t trust?
You aren’t his therapist, you aren’t his healer; you’re his Gf… if he’s “so great” then he wouldn’t make this your problem and he’s trust you. If you’d feel that terrible about losing your soulmate, then make it clear you aren’t going to fix him he needs to fix himself, seek help, professionally, and work on his trust issues.

Do you face any risk going back to your home country? There are countless stories of women going home to their country only for their male family members to confiscate their passports and hold them hostage, or marry them off to prevent them from returning to their western country. Does this happen in your home country? Don’t be naive in believing that your father and brothers wouldn’t try to do that to you if they had the opportunity.
It may be unsafe for you and/or your husband to travel back to your country after what happened. The best option is for your parents to come visit you to limit their control over you and the situation. If they really want a relationship with you and their grandchild, they will talk it out and travel to you. Don’t get trapped by going back to your home country to repair this damage. You are not safe in that environment and your family does not care or want what’s best for you. Please be safe around them.
