Look into state laws about common law marriage. Also, why is he opposed to marriage? At your age I doubt that the house will be a house that you choose to raise kids in etc unless of course you are making buckets of money. I think she probably has some valid points and recommendations, but at the end of the day it’s your decision, and there’s a good chance that when you two are thinking about kids, then you can upgrade to something with more space. Also, why would she care what house you buy? Unless she plans on moving in, which she currently doesn’t work so she can’t contribute financially. Idk why so many people are saying that you aren’t considering your future together, because one it’s only 2.5 years, which most people date for wayyy longer before getting married, and also you’re the one living there, not her, at least at the moment.
