I’m adding this after seeing your other comments: your past mistakes do not define you. You’re recovering so you’re in the right place. But sometimes in recovery, our brains (assholes that they are) will try to sabotage us because recovery is freaking hot. Your obsession with a woman who doesn’t value you is simply that, your brain choosing to stay in a damaging pattern since you e taken away the other source of damage. Part of recovery is seeing this totally normal road bump and choosing “not today, satan”

Did you ask him why?
