I don’t think your boyfriend is necessarily aiming at you, but potentially those couples who are initially starting out in their relationship / in the dating stage.
When the relationship is in it’s early stages, people make loads of assumptions and put more weight on things which are less relevant than they actually think over time. This is defo a topic that seems to get guys prejudiced if brought up early, no matter how stupid it may seem as a concept.
I think generally, men (especially young men) make the assumption that the more guys women sleep with, it somehow determines the way they behave and almost seem like they won’t stick around.
