Question: if she didn't contact you at all during the week, what makes you think she's clingy? Because… that sounds like the opposite of clingy to me.
She asked you to communicate more with her, you didn't, she lost interest. If you wanted her to be the one to initiate communication, you could have point-blank told her “Hey, I have a busy week ahead and I might forget to text you, but feel free to text me any time!” Instead you just… waited to see if she did? And then when she didn't, you call her clingy? I don't think you really know what that word means or how a clingy person really acts.
