I think that's unlikely. She's a liar and may be a narcissist. She's merely irrationally envious of others, and has the attitude that “If I can't have something, then nobody should be able to have it either!”

Tell them lying about assault to try to screw with somone else's relationship isn't a joke. Tell them she's lying to others, she hates Betsy, and she's let her grudge and hatred of both of you go completely off the rails, when she could have just said she doesn't like either of you. Tell them you'd let her hang herself with her own rope if it was just you, but you're fucking irate that she's lying about Betsy too, and if she claims to care or be concerned for Betsy, that's another lie.
