Might get down voted to hell for this (I'm really late too, so possibly no one will see it), but I'm both the finance manager and HR at the small company I work at and literally did this just last month. It was the money saving option as I would have had to book an entire extra room just for myself (only female in attendance). In life we sometimes have a few conflicts. Six months notice of a lease ending is not something a person needs to be upset by. If she has problems with that, she's not able to adult.
