Yes. I had to explain to my husband how much a male raised voice triggers me. I still have to remind him sometimes but he’s gotten better. We did have couples counseling so we had another person there to help translate my concerns to him and that helped a lot.
My sons don’t do this at all. So at least we broke that cycle.
