Then the ex made the guy here the father but 6 years later when the child grows, his adoptive dad realized that he was not the father and refused to continue playing the role and the story in original post begins. I'd argue it should make her sad, or at least make her feel something. It's a decision she should be allowed to make, but it's a decision that should be thought about deeply and carefully, and the gravity of the situation should be understood.
